AMBER JACKSONAmber recently received an MFA in Directing at Baylor University, where she completed her thesis production of Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice. Amber is a North Carolina native, where she received her undergraduate degree in theatre from Gardner-Webb University. She is an accomplished director, choreographer, actor, and writer. In January, Texas Theatre Journal published Amber's recent interview with playwright John Patrick Shanley about his new movie, Doubt.

CLAY WHEELERClay received his BFA in Theatre Performance at Baylor University, where his short play, Exhibited Traits, was performed as part of a Master Class taught by renowned playwright Tina Howe. His full-length play, Holy Mother of God, recently received its World Premiere at WaterTower Theatre's 9th Annual Out-of-the-Loop-Festival. Clay is a member emeritus of the Guerrilla Improv Comedy Troupe. He worked for The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut, where, in addition to working in the Marketing and Development office, he was also a script reader for the National Playwrights Conference. He is a native of Plano, Texas.

CHRISTOPHER EASTLAND
(Director)
Christopher is happy to be working side-by-side with Clay for
the FIT Festival. He recently moved back to Dallas after
serving as a resident company member for the Civic Theatre of
Allentown in Pennsylvania. Christopher's directing experience
includes Krapp's Last Tape, Poodle with Guitar and Dark
Glasses, Act Without Words III, The Wizard of Oz and a few
others. Some of his favorite acting credits include Wonder of
the World (Barbara, et al.), Woman in Black (The Actor),
Hamlet (Horatio), A Christmas Carol (Fred) and Talking
Pictures (Estaquio Trevino). He has also stage managed The
Shape of Things and Jordan. He is a native of Whitney, Texas.

MARIANNE GALLOWAY

Marianne is thrilled to be working with Rite of Passage
in this year’s FIT. Her recent local acting credits include
Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire (Contemporary
Theater of Dallas-2009 Column Award Nominee: Best
Supporting Actress) and the title role in Sylvia for Theatre
Coppell, and she is looking forward to her upcoming role
as Izzy in Rabbit Hole for CTD. Marianne is the Founding Artistic Director of Risk Theater Initiative, a Member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, Directors LabWest, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. She is an Artistic Associate of CTD, has served as President of the Dallas Theater League and on the Artistic Advisory Board of Shakespeare Dallas. She holds her Bachelors from
QUINTEN QUINTERO
(Actor, "Gray")
Quinten recently graduated from Southern Methodist University,
where he received his B.F.A. in Theatre Performance. This is
Quinten's first professional performance, and he couldn't be happier
to be a part of the Festival of Independent Theatres. He would like
to thank his friends and family. Their constant support has been
invaluable. He only hopes to be able to show them the same
kindness. He is a native of El Campo, Texas.
CHARLES RYAN ROACH
(Actor, "Henry")
Ryan is thrilled to make his first appearance with Rite
of Passage and with FIT. Ryan has worked throughout the
DFW area, most recently in a critically acclaimed run of
Greater Tuna with FMPAT and in ...Forum for WaterTower
Theatre, where he also appeared in Parade and Urinetown:
The Musical. Other area work includes Love's Labour's Lost
and "The Scottish Play" for Shakespeare Dallas; The Full
Monty and The Wild Party for Theatre Three; The Best Little
Whorehouse in Texas for Contemporary Theatre of Dallas;
Ragtime and Titanic for Lyric Stage; Moonlight and Magnolias and many other shows for Theatre Arlington; three Jeeves and Wooster plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Season's Greetings for Stage West, and The Wild Party and A Man of No Importance for Uptown Players. Ryan has served on the Board of Directors for The Column Awards since its inception and is a graduate of the University of North Texas and the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer at Oxford program. Matthew is a Plano resident and retail management professional. While attending Baylor University, he acted in several studio performances on campus including The Shadow Box and The Wager, as well as the musical City of Angels. He has also been a member of the Guerrilla Comedy Troupe which hosts improvisation shows at events across Texas and produces online comedy shorts. He cites a childhood resemblance to Macaulay Culkin as the start of his interest in acting.
